Ka'Ana Co. Weddings is a branch of Ka'ana Co. Events, based in Montreal, Canada, who plan weddings in Montreal and Hawaii. Co-founder Jennifer Flores has worked in the entertainment industry as an event planner for the last six years, planning and designing events across Canada, the USA and Mexico.
Leaving her job after having her son, Jennifer found a love for a different kind of event planning... weddings. When she got engaged, her dream was to get married in Hawai'i. She had traveled to Hawai'i for twenty years, and knew it was the place she wanted to marry the love of her life. As she was planning her wedding in paradise, she became passionate about wedding planning, and conceptualizing. She also realized how overwhelming it was to plan a wedding, especially from afar, with a five-hour time zone. There were no destination wedding planners in Canada who catered to Hawai'i. Without the proper knowledge of Hawaii's geography and culture, it can make the process difficult for anyone. Having an event planning background, thankfully made it easier. |
Realizing there was a lack of resources for the best venues and vendors, laws, regulations and the like, she simply wanted to find a solution to the problem, and so Ka'Ana Co. Weddings was born.
Founders and long-time friends, Jennifer and Cecilia forged a bond on their love of Hawaii. Cecilia having travelled to Maui fell in-love with its natural romance, stillness and the Aloha Spirit. With eight years of experience as a hair stylist, Cecilia worked collaboratively with her clients and created a variety of beautiful and unique looks for their weddings. Cecilia changed career paths from the beauty industry to the event planning industry. With a background in the restaurant business, her knowledge to curate the best menus for our clients is essential to a substantial part of our company. Her meticulousness, and methodical ways complement her partner's creativity, and together make the perfect team. |
